Medmat Innovation, Lda dedicates its activity to the area of Regenerative Medicine, namely to the manufacture of Medical devices, Biomaterials and 3D Biomodels. The company devotes its strategy to Life enhancing medical solutions tailored to Patient’s needs using break-through methodologies.
The company has developed a new synthetic bone graft registered as Bonelike® that mimics the mineral composition of bone tissue, using a patent protected process. Bonelike® is available in different granule sizes and shapes depending upon the envisaged medical application and can be used in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, Implantology and Orthopaedics.
The company staff are also specialists in the science of anatomical replication – 3D Biomodelling. The company manufactures medical models, surgical guides and customised implants and prostheses using stereolithography (SLA), selective laser sintering (SLS) and 3D printing for Maxillofacial surgery, Implantology, Orthognatic surgery, Orthopaedics and Vascular surgery among others.
Medmat Innovation, Lda cooperates with several institutions in the development and marketing of bioresorbable medical products for soft tissue reconstruction. Fully synthetic bioresorbable polymers offer unmatched benefits in this area. The product pipeline currently contains: Bioresorbable oral membranes, peripheral nerve guides, Devices for meniscal cartilage repair and wound care products.
The company is also developing new medical solutions based upon Nanotechnology approach and Stem cells technologies associated to Biomaterials.
